Dorothy M. Holder, age 83, of Evansville, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Deaconess Hospital.
Dorothy had worked in the Dietary Department at Deaconess Hospital for 30 years before her retirement in 1992.
Surviving are her sister, Irene Taul of Buena Park, CA; her nieces, Sandra Hust and her husband, Steve of Evansville, Pam Altmann of Franklin, IN and Cathie Spain of Martin, TN; nephew, Larry Holder of Fishers, IN; sister-in-law, ImaGene Holder of Greenwood, IN and great nephews and nieces who helped care for Dorothy, Rob and Debbie Goodwin, Jeff and Julie Goodwin and Jody Goodwin. Also surviving are great great nieces and nephews, Kayecee Gross, Robbie, Max and Katey Goodwin.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 3, 2009 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Michael Stoelting officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 6:00 P.M. at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
Memorial contributions may be made to Deaconess Hospice.
Dorothy’s family would like to thank Pine Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Deaconess Hospital Unit 5100 and their staffs for the care and compassion shown to Dorothy.
