Wayne J. Forcum, 70, of Evansville passed away Thursday, August 6, 2009 after a battle with cancer. He was born on March 17, 1939. He was a devoted husband and father. Wayne was the
owner of Wayne’s Appliances for more than 45 years. He enjoyed boating and camping.
He is survived by his wife Alice (Buckman) of 49 years; his daughter Sandra (Forcum) Quick and her husband David of Evansville and his son, Curtis W. Forcum of Evansville.
He was preceded in death by his parents Nolan and Prudie Forcum, brothers, Melvin, Donald, and Glen Forcum and nephews Mark Forcum and Trevor Head.
Wayne was a lifetime member of the Owls and the River City Eagles #4023. Wayne proudly served in the United States Air Force.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 10, 2009 at St. Boniface Church with the Rev. Kenneth Herr officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Sunday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street and from 9:30 A.M. until service time Monday at St. Boniface.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and the Tri-State MS Association., 971 Kenmore Drive, Evansville, Indiana 47714.
The family would like to thank Deaconess Hospice Care and staff for their care of Wayne.
