Obituary:
Ralph R. Caputo, 86, of rural Evansville, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Deaconess Hospital. Mr. Caputo was employed at Swift Packing Company for 18 years and later at Sears Roebuck for 18 years before his retirement. He was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church and had served in the United States Army during World War II. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helen (Long) Caputo; two daughters, Cecelia (Dan) Jarboe and Tina Caputo, all of Evansville; three sons, Michael (Debbie) Caputo and Mark (Sandy) Caputo, all of Evansville and David (Diane) Caputo, of Collinsville, IL. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Darrin & Matthew Jarboe, James & Michael Caputo, Nicholas, Sam & Alex Caputo, Jason Bryant, Jackie Burns and Stacy Robinson; 11 great grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Rayoum of Newburgh and a sister-in-law, Marie Rayoum of Evansville. Ralph was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Rayoum. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 14, 2009 at St. Philip Catholic Church, Rev. Tom Kessler officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where a rosary service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:30 A.M. until service time on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to St. Philip Catholic Church, 3500 S. St. Philip Road, Mt. Vernon, IN 47620
