Jeanne E. (Reiter) Kuester, age 83, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.
Mrs. Kuester was a homemaker and a member of St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt. She was also a St. James Quilter and a member of the Altar Society at the church.
Surviving are her two daughters and their husbands, Suzanne and Thomas Barnett of Newburgh, IN and Carolyn and Daryl Lipper of Evansville; her son and his wife, Randy and Cecilia Kuester of Evansville; two sisters, Sr. Jacinta Reiter, D.C. and Mary Alice Clem, both of Evansville; two brothers, Norman Reiter and Roland Reiter and his wife, Margie, all of Evansville and a sister-in-law, Irma Grimm of Evansville. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Jennifer Tullis and her husband, Peter, Dana Moore and husband, Roger, John Barnett and his wife, Jennifer, Christine Roemke and her husband, Bryan, Darren Lipper, Dr. Jason Kuester, Brian Kuester and Cara Kuester; seven great grandchildren, Tyler Tuley, Patrick and Samuel Tullis, Claire and Madelyn Barnett, Katherine Roemke and Anna Marie Moore and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kuester was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ervin J. Kuester in April of 1999.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at St. James Catholic Church, Rev. Kenneth Betz officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a memorial service conducted by the church at 4:00 P.M. Friends may also visit from 9:30 A.M. until service time on Tuesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Catholic Church.
