Obituary:
David T. Bryant, of Evansville, IN, formerly of Indianapolis, quietly passed away at 3:40 P.M. on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at home. Preceding him in death on April 30, 2006 was his loving wife of 43 years, Dorothy Jean O’Neil Bryant. Born in Jackson, Michigan on June 30, 1935, David graduated from Indiana University in 1957 with a degree in Economics; he then served in the US Army. He was a buyer and government contractor for 25 years, last employed by SMC Corporation of America. A gifted woodcrafter, David created beautiful furniture, cabinetry, jewelry and recipe boxes, and many other cherished, handcrafted items. His sense of humor, expressions of love and joy for living were deeply felt by everyone around him. David is survived by his three loving sons and their wives, Jeff and Julie, Matt and Heather and Steve and Kristi and also by his three beautiful grandchildren, Kelsie, Drew and Addison. David is also survived by his loving companion, SSF, and friend of 64 years, Sharon Morrow who cared for him until his death. Special remembrances for Rick and Leslie Smith, Craig and Laurie Morrow, Emily Erwin, and Brandun and Kyle Smith who all loved David like a father and grandfather. In lieu of visitation and funeral services, the family encourages memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
