John L. Brown, age 82, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at his home.
Mr. Brown was a farmer and had retired from Sunbeam Plastics. He was a member of West Terrace General Baptist Church.
John is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mildred Irene (Cravens) Brown of Evansville; three daughters Jane (Mike) Beavin, Penny (Mark) Carlisle, all of Evansville and Connie Perry (Gene Hargrave) of Carmi, IL; three sons John (Sharon) Brown Jr. and Jerry (Sandy) Brown, all of Boonville and Michael Brown of Evansville. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two daughters-in-law, Mary Brown and Janet Brown and a son-in-law, Keith Burris.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 22, 2010 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. James Pickerill officiating. Burial will follow in Tupman Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday
at Pierre Funeral home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
