Helen Marie May Benthine, age 94, of Evansville, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Home.
Mrs. Benthine had lived in Evansville since 2007, having lived previously in Winterhaven, Florida. She loved music and was a pianist at churches and social functions. Helen was a member of the First Christian Church of Mt. Vernon.
Mrs. Benthine was preceded in death by her husband, John Frederick Benthine in November, 2009.
Surviving Mrs. Benthine are her son, Larry May and his wife, Sherry of Evansville; five grandchildren, Lisa Lowe, Derek and Jason May, Amy Spoede and Julie Ann Baker and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, February 5, 2010 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Tom Buffington officiating.
Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 P.M. until service time on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Mt. Vernon, IN.
