Guy T. Antey, Sr., age 62, of Evansville, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2010 at his home.
Guy was born in Evansville, IN on September 14, 1947. He was the youngest son of the late Edward and Josephine Antey. He was a 1965 graduate of North High School. Guy was employed at Koch Label Company for 30 years and most recently with Frontier Kemper Constructors. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed college basketball and football as well as Mater Dei and Reitz football. He refused to live anywhere but on the Westside of Evansville and never strayed far from his tavern cronies who helped make his life so full. Most of all, he was an adoring father to his three children and a loyal friend.
Guy is survived by his three children, Stephanie (Dino) Brandenstein of Evansville, Timothy (Robin) Antey of Mt. Vernon and Christopher (Trina) Antey of Indianapolis; his ex-wife and friend, Patricia Antey; four step grandchildren, Brittany and Brooke Brandenstein, Corey Allgood and Haley Green. Also surviving are four sisters, Carol Parsons of Cleveland, OH, Janie Harter of Evansville, Etta (Steve) Caldwell of Washington D.C. and Connie (Jerry) Nord of Evansville; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Darrell and Jeannette Bates of Evansville and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Guy will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Ted Tempel officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
