Gerald K. “Jerry” Burgdorf, 58, of Evansville passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2010 surrounded by his family and friends.
Jerry was owner and operator of Precision Painting and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Twin Towers. He enjoyed bowling at Franklin Lanes, NASCAR, gardening and working in his yard.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Leslie (Gillians) Burgdorf; two daughters, Courtney Koonce and Suzann Gelzleichter, both of Evansville; two sons, Matthew “Ryan” Burgdorf of Chandler, IN and Aaron Gelzleichter, Spc. of Evansville; three sisters, Cindy Cain and Mitzi Granderson of Chandler and Robin Phillips of Evansville; two brothers, Tracy Arndell of Tennyson, IN and Kelly Arndell of San Diego, CA and one granddaughter, Kennedy Craig. He is also survived by his best boy, Boomer and Grampy’s little girl, Molly.
Mr. Burgdorf was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy (Turpin) Pearcy and his father, Jerald Burgdorf.
Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday, March 19, 2010 and from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
A celebration of Jerry’s life will begin at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Pierre Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank all of Jerry’s friends for their help and support of Jerry’s Benefit and during his illness.
