| Obituary: |
Alice M. (Buckman) Forcum, 71, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Deaconess Hospital. She was a devoted wife and mother.
Alice, along with her husband Wayne, owned and operated Wayne’s Appliance for more than 46 years. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Lady Owls, the River City Eagles #4023, and a life member of Riverbend Ladies Auxiliary and AmVets Post #84 Ladies Auxiliary. She was also very active in the Red Hat Society and enjoyed camping and boating.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Wayne Forcum on August 6, 2009, her parents, Marie (Maxfield) and John M. Buckman, a sister, Doris Scheller and nephews, Trevor Head and Mark Forcum.
Alice is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and David Quick, and a son, Curtis Forcum, all of Evansville, a sister, Jennie (Mike) Head of Evansville and a brother, David Buckman of Newburgh.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 30, 2009 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Rev. Kenneth Herr officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
Friends may also visit with the family on Tuesday from 10:30 A.M. until service time at St. Boniface Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tri-State MS Association, 971 Kenmore Drive, Evansville, IN 47714 or the American Cancer Society.
