Obituary:
Priscilla Kremer 98, of Evansville passed away Friday, May 20, 2010 at the Heritage Center. Priscilla was born August 1, 1911 to John and Anna Steckler in Evansville and was a lifelong member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. Priscilla known to her many friends and family as Pris, was women of unwavering religious faith and belief in her God. This strong religious foundation served as the guiding beacon for her long and beautiful life. She was a loving and generous lady while serving as a strong and silent inspiration to all that knew her. She spent her entire life in the career she loved, caring for her husband and family, enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren and spending family time with her many sister, brothers, nieces and nephews. She was a member of Twin Towers, Darmstadt Retirees Club, Eagles, Coterie Club and many ladies organizations of St Boniface Catholic Church. Her life was full and rewarding and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and DiAnne Kremer of Evansville, daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth and Paul Hoffman of Evansville and son Stephen Kremer of Carmi, Illinois. Also surviving are grandchildren Scott (Carrie) Kremer, Chad (Jennifer) Kremer, Jennifer (Rob) Zigenfus, Stacy (Kevin) Isaac, Michael Hoffman, Todd Kremer, thirteen great grandchildren and two sisters Sister Julita Steckler and Sister Dorothy Steckler of Oldenburg Indiana. Priscilla was preceded in death by Francis her husband of 69 years, her father and father John and Anna Steckler, sisters Anita Scheller, Fronie Mayer, Carrie Helfrich, Lorene Elpers, Ann Paul, Mary Like and bothers Albert and Raymond Steckler,. The family would like to thank the wonderful employees of the Holiday Retirement Village, The Heritage Center and Heritage Hospice for their kind and compassionate care given to Priscilla. Her last days were made more enjoyable because of your kindness. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 A.M on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at St Boniface Catholic Church, Rev. Kenneth Herr and Rev. Ted Temple officiating. Burial will follow at St Joseph Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street where memorial services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Friends may also visit with the family for 9:30 A.M until service time Wednesday at St Boniface Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions in memory of Priscilla be made to the Sisters of St. Francis, Oldenburg, Indiana.
