Obituary:
Claude Edward Lear, 88, of Evansville passed away Thursday July 8, 2010 in Snellville, GA. Claude served in the Navy as a ship fitter during WWII. He retired from Whirlpool as a model maker and attended River Hills Church in Winder, GA. He enjoyed watching nature with his wife, especially the birds. He also enjoyed working in his garage with his tools. Claude loved spending time with his four granddaughters and his 13 great grandchildren. Mr. Lear was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Lear in 2009, his son Wayne Lear in 1996 and two infant sons, Edward and Ronald Lear. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Alan) Cutteridge of Fort Worth, TX and a daughter-in-law, Libby Lear of Evansville. Also surviving are four granddaughters, Wendy and Rev. Joe Schuffett of Pleasant Grove, AL., Dawn and Wade Myers of Columbus, IN., Krista and Nathan Warmbrod of Fort Worth, TX., April and Matt Lowrance, D.O. of Jerome, MI., thirteen great grandchildren: Hannah, Meghan, Josiah and Micah Shuffett, Olivia, Stone, and Davin Myers, Abigail, Jacquelyn, and Carson Warmbrod, Melody, Madeline, and David Lowrance. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Joe Shuffett officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military services. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin St.
