John T. Kuhn, 86, of Evansville, passed away Friday, July 16, 2010 at his home.
John had been employed at Bucyrus Erie for 30 years and Farm Bureau Co-Op for 10 years before retiring. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a former member of the Moose Lodge, Eagles and Riverbend Association.
He is survived by his wife, Martha (Kaffenberger) Kuhn; six daughters, Glenda (Bill) Higgins of Mt. Vernon, Ruth Ann Nation, Mary Jane Davis, Kathy (Mike) Fortner, Bobbi (Kevin) Whipple and Theresa Tison, all of Evansville and one son, Tom (Dawn) Kuhn of Mt. Vernon. Also surviving are two brothers, Paul (Betty) Kuhn of Evansville and Leonard (Una) Kuhn of Mt. Vernon and a half brother, Charles Wilson of Mt. Vernon, seventeen grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will begin at 9:45 A.M. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Pierre Funeral Home, continuing at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rev. David Nunning officiating. Burial will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, Indiana.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 7:00 P.M. Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street where a memorial service will begin at 5:00 P.M.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Deaconess Hospice.
