Obituary:
Delores “Jean” Halbig, age 67, of Boonville, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010 at her home. Jean was a homemaker. Her passion was going to flea markets with her husband, Bill. He was known as the “Flim-Flam Man” and she the “Bag Lady”. Jean also enjoyed painting. Surviving are three sons, Billy (Renee) Lofton of Lynnville, Tony Lofton of Mt. Vernon and Jamie (Lula) Halbig of Boonville; her mother, Esther Grisham of Evansville; one sister, Barbara Edwards of Spring Hill, FL and two brothers, Steven Hill of Spring Hill, FL and William Hill of Newburgh. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Kelly Thiel, Billy Ray Lofton, Jared Halbig, Joshua Bunch and Sarah Bunch and two great grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, William Halbig in 2007 and her father, William Hill. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Steven Claspell officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Thursday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
