Ruth J. Dickerson Hatchett, age 73, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital.
Ruth was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers and loved country music.
Surviving are her husband of 24 years, Dennis Hatchett; four daughters, Karen Daniels and her husband, Marvin, Jr., Cheryl Fisher and husband, Donald, Theresa Parish and Kimberly Wilson and husband Wayne; one son and his wife, Dan and Mary Jo Dickerson, all of Evansville; three sisters, Shirley Hahn of Sioux City, IA, Delores Ballheimer of DuQuion, IL and Carolyn Brown of Evansville, one brother, Ron Underhill of DuQuion, IL. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, five nieces and twelve nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Dickerson in 1985, her mother, Goldie Underhill, her father, John Ingle, brother, Jarvis Underhill, sister, Faye Newcomb and niece, Sherry Wells.
Funeral services for Ruth will be held at 1:30 P.M. Friday, July 30, 2010 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Tyrone Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
