Clarence G Weber

Clarence G. Weber, age 81, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his family. Clarence was born September 12, 1932 to the late George and Anna (Matz) Weber. His father died when Clarence was just 16, so he, along with his older brother took charge of the family. Clarence served in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954 as a member of the United States Army. He married the love of his life, Rosemary Hayden on May 14, 1955. Clarence worked as a skilled carpenter all of his life. He worked alongside his uncle, Joe Matz at Ohio Valley Homes, before retiring from Dan Buck Construction. In the spring and summer Clarence loved farming and gardening, but the winter months were spent the last 40 years researching the family history. His family was the most important thing in his life. He was a charter member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and a member of the Evansville City Clabber League. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Rosemary (Hayden) Weber; three daughters, Rebecca (James) Hadley and Susan (David) Montgomery, both of Evansville and Julie (Robert) Francis of North Brunswick, NJ; three sons, David (Theresa) Weber of Evansville, Daniel (Rhonda) Weber of Cox’s Creek, KY and Patrick (Connie) Weber of Newburgh; brothers, Clement, Robert and Eugene Weber, all of Evansville; sisters, Mary Seib of Evansville and Betty Kamuf of Cincinnati, OH; sister-in-law, Katherine Weber and brother-in-law, James Altstadt, both of Evansville. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, Jimmy and Jason Hadley, Jenny Francis, Laurie Krzykowski, Carrie Stratman, Carissa and Holly Montgomery, Anna Bogan, Emily Schroeder, Tara McIntyre, Trisha Mathis, Courtney Robinson, Ben, Amy, Adam, Cassie, Jon and Justin Weber and five great grandchildren, Elliott and Spencer Stratman, Dyson and Janie Bogan nad Isaiah Robinson. In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Weber in 2011 and his sister, Kathryn Weber Altstadt on February 15, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Rev. James Blessinger officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, where the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, where a memorial service will be conducted by the church at 4:00 P.M. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:30 A.M. until service time on Saturday at Corpus Christi Church.
