Daniel D Neale

Daniel David Neale, age 66, of Evansville, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at his residence. Dan was born April 28, 1949 in Evansville to the late Oscar E. and Beatrice E. (Kissel) Neale. He was a 1967 graduate of Mater Dei High School, where he played the saxophone in the marching band. Dan received his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees in business administration and production management from the University of Evansville, where he was on the Dean’s list. He later received his Master’s degree in hospital administration from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN. He was the vice president of administrative services at East Liverpool City Hospital in East Liverpool, OH and also served as the vice president of operations at Community Hospital in Anderson, IN. He was the vice president of the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville, KY and later served as the administrative director of surgical services at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. Dan was a past president of the Indiana Hospital Management Systems Society. In his younger years, Dan loved boating and water skiing and later in life enjoyed cooking, grilling, singing Karaoke and watching football and golf. Dan was a fan of music and he often watched his brother’s band perform. He also belonged to a vocal group who sang at local nursing homes. Dan had a heart of gold and was always ready to help others in need. Surviving Dan are sons, Bryan (Jennifer) Neale of Indianapolis, IN, Brad (Brandi) Neale and Jon (Erin) Neale, both of Westfield, IN; a daughter, Tami (Jason) Vernon of Noblesville, IN and grandchildren, Anna, Sam, William, Nicholas, Mallory, Estella, Brooke, Wyatt and Harper Neale and Lily and Carson Vernon. Also surviving are brothers, Ron (Mary) Neale of St. Philip, IN, Bob (Kay) Neale of Fenton, MO and Jim Neale and Larry Neale, both of Evansville; sisters, Mary Lue (Bob) Russler, Betty Jo (Richard) Plump and Rosie Neale, all of Evansville and Nancy Neale of Mt. Vernon, IN; many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. There will be a memorial service held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home.
