Dolores A Scheller

Dolores A. Scheller, age 80, of Evansville, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 at the West River Health Campus. Dolores was born October 19, 1935 in Evansville to the late Urban and Irene (Feldhaus) Mayer. Dolores was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church. She retired from Welborn Baptist Hospital. After retiring from Welborn, Dolores worked as a caregiver for many years. She thoroughly enjoyed being a caregiver. She loved to travel and go camping with her family and friends. She also enjoyed working in her flower garden. Surviving Dolores are her sons, Jerry Scheller Jr, Ron Scheller, Jim (Sharilyn) Scheller, Steve (Brandi) Scheller and Mike Scheller, all of Evansville; her grandchildren, Courtney (Danan) Coleman, Kendyl, Gage, Grant, Rachel and Mason Scheller; step grandchildren, Taylor (Josh) Wagner, Kyle (Liz) Wallace and Andrea Wallace; step great grandchildren, Cecilia, William and Matilda Wallace; a brother-in-law, Al Fairchild; nieces, nephews and a very special friend, Debbie Jenkins. In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Scheller; sisters, Mary Lou Fehrenbacher and Elma Jean Fairchild and by a brother, Richard Mayer. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Resurrection Catholic Church, Rev. Philip Kreilein officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 until 6:00 P.M. on Sunday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a memorial service conducted by the church at 4:00 P.M. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:30 A.M. until service time on Monday at Resurrection Catholic Church.
