Jeanette Wildeman

Jeanette E. (Paul) “Nettie” Wildeman, age 82, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at the Westpark Rehabilitation Center. Nettie was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church and the Ladies Club and Home Economics Clubs at St. Philip. She had worked as a kitchen manager for Helfrich Vending and had also worked for the St. Philip Inn. Nettie was a 1948 graduate of Memorial High School; she was dedicated to her faith. She was a patient, fun loving person who cared greatly for her family. She loved to cook and play cards. She started a card club in St. Philip that still meets regularly. Nettie touched many lives and will be missed. Surviving are four daughters, Jane (Jeff) Wittman and Susan (Joel) Lutz, both of Evansville and Mary (Dennis) Jones and Ellen (Bret) Dausman, both of Mt. Vernon, IN; five sons, Steven (Susan) Wildeman of New Harmony, Daniel (Vivian) Wildeman, Bud (Mary) Wildeman, both of St. Philip, Chris Wildeman of Evansville and Kevin (Angie) Wildeman of St. Philip and a daughter-in-law, Terry Wildeman of St. Philip. Also surviving are 31grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Nettie was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Henry Wildeman in 2001; by a son Roger “Rocky” Wildeman on August 25, 2012; her sister, Avila Mesker; brothers, Herman and Albert Paul; a grandson, Daniel Wildeman and granddaughter, Christa Lutz A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at St. Philip Catholic Church, Rev. David Nunning officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a memorial service held at 4 P.M. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday at St. Philip Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Philip Catholic Church, Vista Care Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
