Judy L. Pace

Judy L. Pace, 83, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Born and raised in Evansville, Indiana, and a proud member of the Reitz High School Class of 1960, Judy lived a life full of laughter, love, and adventure. Judy's working life was as vibrant as her personality. She began her secretarial career at Indiana Desk, where she met the love of her life, Jerry. She went on to work as a legal secretary and in retail before retiring from Zeidler Floral Co. But retirement was never really in Judy's nature. She channeled her energy and joy into co-founding The Pacetrē Bake and Brew with her daughters, where she thrived behind the counter, charming every customer who walked through the door and bringing her decorating flair to every holiday display. Judy was, at her heart, a people person. She loved socializing, dancing, and having a good time, and she was always the first to suggest a road trip. Whether it was a spontaneous adventure or a well-planned journey, Judy brought enthusiasm and warmth to every mile. She had a gift for making everyone around her feel like family. She is survived by her daughters, Kelly Pace and Tracy Pace, as well as cousins, sister-in-law Annette Pace, nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of cherished friends who were family in every sense of the word. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Gerald "Jerry" Pace; her son, Scott G. Pace; and her parents, Lovern "Vern" and Sadie Belle (Wilson) Deer. Judy's spirit joyful, generous, and irrepressible, will live on in all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, June 02, 2026 at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, from 2:00 until 6:00 PM, where there will be a memorial service held at 6:00 PM, Rev. Gene Backes officiating. Burial in Tupman Cemetery will be held at a later date.
