June McNatton

Lavada June McNatton, age 92, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Woodlands Golden Living Center in Newburgh. She was born May 30, 1925 in Marion, IL to the late Cue DeMoss and late Alice DeMoss Whitsell. Her twin brother died at birth. June was retired from Swanson Nunn Electric. She had worked for International Steel and the Vanderburgh Medical society. She had been a Notary Public. She was a volunteer at Simpson’s Methodist Church Food Bank. She supported the Girl’s Home with donations of baby booties and crochet blankets that she made with love. She was a Member of the Methodist Temple Church. She was a member of Central Turner Dance Club and dinner club. She had been a Potentate Aide’s Lady with the Hadi Temple. She graduated from Reitz High School and Lockyear Business College. She loved to sew, cook and entertain. She was a very generous soul to her family, friends and neighbors. She loved her family and will be truly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Winfred "Skeets" McNatton; an infant son, Richard Scott; sister, Billie Cole; son-in-law, Jack Royalty; nephew, Tom Finan; brother-in-law, Ralph Finan; brother-in-law, James E. McNatton: sister-in-law, June Guess and by her beloved pets, Ming and Nikki. She is survived by a daughter, Ramona McNatton of Evansville; Niece, Nancy Neukam (Jim) of Owensboro who were her carekeepers; great nephews, Scott Neukam, Michael (Mary) Neukam and Adam Finan; great-great nephews and niece, Ethan, Benjamin, Jude and Hadassah Neukam; Nieces, Lisa Cooley and Elizabeth Akers, of Owensboro; Nieces, Linda Williams, Becky Matlock, and Cindy Robbins of Evansville; Nephews, Steve McNatton of Owensboro, Gary McNatton, of San Francisco, and Doug McNatton, of Los Angeles and other great nieces and nephews and cousins of Madisonville, KY. Funeral services for June will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Pierre Funeral Home, nephew, Rev. Michael Neukam officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until service time on Thursday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
