Karen Sue Will

It is with profound sadness that the family of Karen S. Will, 56, of Evansville, announce her peaceful passing on Friday, March 31, 2023, at Waverly Inn Memory Care Community in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Karen was born on September 10, 1966, in Urbana, IL to the late Harold Memmer and Martha Sue Lang. Karen graduated from North High School in 1984. She received her Associate of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Southern Indiana and worked as a Registered Nurse at Welborn Baptist Hospital prior to joining Toyota (TMMI) in 1998 as a Team Member on the assembly line. She retired from Toyota in 2016 as a Team Leader on the assembly line. Karen enjoyed being around her family. She and her beloved late husband, Jeffrey, loved spending as much time as they could with their five grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to concerts, and you would usually find her dancing if a good song were playing. She would always laugh when someone would ask if she was her eldest daughter’s (Stephanie) sister anytime they were out together. That laugh will certainly be missed. She was the most loving mother and friend to her three daughters, and her strength will always be something they admire. Karen positively impacted many lives on her journey, and she will be missed dearly by many. Surviving Karen are her three daughters and their husbands, Stephanie and Adam Ostrowski of Arlington Heights, IL, Sarah and Cliff Bergman of Wadesville, IN and Morgan and Seth Weddle of Warsaw, IN; grandchildren, Ethan and Olivia Ostrowski, Mia and Carter Bergman and Alexander Weddle. Karen is also survived by siblings, Mary Hayes, Mike Memmer, and Donna Korressell. Karen is also survived by her mother-in-law and father-in-law (Janet and Norman Will of Poseyville, IN) that loved her very much. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 33 years, Jeffrey Scott Will in 2018. The family would like to thank everyone that helped care for Karen with such love and compassion over the years, especially those at the Cherished Place Adult Day Center in Arlington Heights, IL and the Waverly Inn Memory Care Community in Arlington Heights, IL. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at St. Wendel Catholic Church, Rev. Ed Schnur officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Wendel Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 8:00 PM on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street and from 9:30 AM until service time on Tuesday at St. Wendel Catholic Church, 10542 West Boonville New Harmony Road, Evansville, IN 47720.
