Larry John Breivogel

Larry John Breivogel, 82, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the Linda E. White Hospice House surrounded by his family. Larry was born August 5, 1938 in Evansville to the late John Frank “Bud” and Ruby Selma (Summers) Breivogel. He retired from Whirlpool as a general supervisor after 37 years of service. Larry enjoyed his retirement and spent most of his time sitting on the porch watching birds and looking at the flowers. In his younger years, Larry enjoyed sports; playing softball and basketball on Whirlpool teams and coaching his sons’ baseball and football teams. Surviving Larry are his wife of 26 years, Rose Mary (Brenner Niedermeier) Breivogel; daughters, Karen Warren, Kristine Breivogel and Tracy Miller; three sons, Tim (Shelley) Breivogel, Tom (Lynda) Breivogel and Jeff Breivogel; grandchildren, Jennifer Wathen, Bobby (fiancé`, Kasi Argo) Warren, Kelsey (Neil) McDonald, Katlyn (Martin) Moseley, Kerby Newcomb, Kampbell Newcomb, Nathan (Kyla McRoberts) Breivogel, Nick Breivogel, John Breivogel, Steven (Lillia Dahlquist) Breivogel, Madeline Breivogel and Sydney Breivogel and great grandchildren, Evan Wathen, Leo McDonald, Vivienne McDonald, Ben Moseley, Daniel Moseley, Kolbie Newcomb, Brady Breivogel, Tegan Breivogel and two great grandsons to be born later this year. Also surviving Larry are his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill (Phyllis) Brenner, Norbert (Mary) Brenner, Fr. Ray Brenner, Dave (Bonnie) Brenner, Jerry (Jonna) Brenner, George (Candace) Brenner and Ron (Debbie) Brenner, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his first wife, Towana “Toni” (Thiry) Breivogel in 1991. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Resurrection Catholic Church, Rev. Jerry Pratt and Rev. Raymond Brenner officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 6:00 PM on Sunday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street and from 9:30 AM until service time on Monday at Resurrection Catholic Church, 5301 New Harmony Road, Evansville, IN 47712.
