Marilyn Ann Miller

Marilyn Ann Miller, age 87, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the Heritage Center. Marilyn was born November 6, 1928 in Evansville to the late Martin and Catherine (Wolf) Miller. Marilyn had worked at Servel from 1946 to 1958, then retired from Mead Johnson Nutritional Group and Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1991 after 33 years of dedication and service in marketing. She was a 1946 graduate of Reitz Memorial High School, a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and supported many charities. She traveled extensively, enjoyed playing bridge, bingo, and training at the Bristol Myers Fitness Center. Marilyn also enjoyed playing golf and as a member of the Helfrich and Fendrich Golf Leagues, she won many awards. She took special pleasure from spending time with her family and friends creating many dear memories. She will be missed by all who knew her. Surviving Marilyn are sisters, Helen Jean Anson and Kathleen (Don) Marrs; a brother, John A. (Jan) Miller; nieces and nephews, Sheila (Carol) Whipkey, David (Wendy) Anson, Michael (Nancy) Barnes, Kevin (Jeri) Barnes, Terri (Mark) Folz, Mark (Sue) Miller, Lance (Karen) Miller, Chris Miller, Karen (Keith) Hinderliter and Cynthia Marrs. Also surviving are 26 great nieces and great nephews and 26 great great nieces and great great nephews. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by a sister and brother in law, Mary Jo and Larry Barnes; brother in law, Mel Anson; niece, Lisa K. Weyer and nephew, David A. Miller. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Sacred Heart Church, Rev. Phil Kreilein officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street where there will be a memorial service conducted by the church at 4:00 P.M. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the mass on Thursday at Sacred Heart Church.
