Marlene Ann Sollman

After 71 wonderful years of life, Marlene Ann Sollman of Haubstadt, Indiana, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Marlene was born on December 17, 1951, to the late Marlin and Eljean (Benkert) Sollman. She was raised on her family’s farm surrounded by love from her large family. Marlene enjoyed sitting outside on her swing with friends listening to the wind chimes. She also had a passion for music, with a special talent for playing the piano and organ. Most importantly, Marlene was deeply-rooted in her faith and loved reading stories from the Bible. Marlene was the source of so much love that was shared throughout the entire family. Marlene will be missed by many, including her two sisters, Kristia (Guy) Garrison and Michelle (Ben) Berning; six brothers, Darryl (Angie) Sollman, Randy (Patty) Sollman, David Sollman, Edward Sollman, Daniel “Dino” (Laura) Sollman, and Michael (Kathy) Sollman. She also had a special place in her heart for her nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her twin sister, Darlene Rose Sollman; sisters, Angela Lamey and Teresa Hisch; brother, Mark Sollman; and brothers-in-law, Gary Lamey and Mark Hisch. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 11:30 AM on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with Rev. Andrew Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Sts. Peter and Paul Church Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family from 9:30 AM until service time on Friday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 211 N. Vine Street, Haubstadt, Indiana. Marlene’s family would like to extend a special thank you to her wonderful friends, Joyce Rice, Barbara Stolz, Wanda and Barry May, Judy Simon, and Lucy Will for their years of unwavering friendship. The family is also grateful to The Wyndmoor of Evansville for the friendships made, and to the staff for all of their kind and compassionate care.
