Mildred Alldredge

Mildred Alldredge, 88, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mildred was born May 10, 1935 in Evansville to the late Oscar and Anna (Lenfert) Schnur. She attended Mater Dei High School, where she graduated as the valedictorian and went on to St. Mary’s Nursing School. Millie was a member of St. Agnes and St. Boniface Catholic churches. She was an excellent cook, seamstress and gardener. She made beautiful cross stitch pieces that she donated to church summer socials. Millie was a voracious reader and finished several books a week. Millie’s surviving children, Larry Alldredge, Susan Gostley, Mike (Debbie) Alldredge, Jimmy (Kelley) Alldredge and Cathy (Danny) Koressel are grateful that she could stay in her home through the end. Also surviving Millie are her sister, Rosie Lomax; grandchildren, Kara (Lucas) Traylor, Jamie Gostley, Jacob (Pat Mahaffey) Koressel, Nathan Koressel, Ross (Alice) Rexing, Rachel (Brandon) Thacker and Reed (Laura) Rexing and great grandchildren, Isaac, Lenora, August and Gwen. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert Alldredge in 2016; by sisters, Marilyn Teipe and Martha Spaetti and by brothers, Charles, Gene and Robert Schnur. They were there to greet her and take her to Heaven. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Rev. Lowell Will officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until service time on Thursday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1600 Glendale Ave, Evansville, IN 47712. Millie’s family would like to thank Heart to Heart Hospice for their care and kindness in her final days and would like to especially thank God for getting them through this difficult time. He always seemed to know their limits. They would like to thank their dad who passed away seven years ago for finally taking her home. Please hug your family and tell them you love them now.
