Mildred Weber

Mildred Weber, age 78, of rural Evansville, died Sunday, August 16, 2015 at her home. Mildred was born September 18, 1936 in Evansville to the late John C. and Veronica (Koch) Hertel. She attended Holy Trinity and Assumption schools before graduating from Mater Dei High School in 1954. She married Robert Weber on February 1, 1958. Mildred was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was also an accomplished seamstress and quilt maker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Lillian Hertel and Margaret Jung and by a brother, Joseph Hertel. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Weber, daughters, Mary Ellen (Ron) Wire and Eileen Weber, both of Evansville and Jennifer Weber of Bismarck, ND; three sons, James (Theresa) Weber of Greenwood, IN, Robert J. (Carolyn Ebe) Weber of Houston, TX and Andrew (Tiffany) Weber of Sunman, IN; sisters, Mary Rose Engler and Dorothy (William) Niemeier, both of Evansville; brothers, John (Linda) Hertel and Frank (Sandy) Hertel, both of Evansville and William Hertel of Chandler and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Hertel of Evansville. Also surviving are grandchildren, Jason and Valerie Wire, Amanda (David) Lester, Jacob Weber, Matthew, Aaron, Thomas and Joseph Ebeweber, Katelyn and Zoe Randazzo, Allyson, Zachary, Lucas, Daniel, Benjamin, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Robert and Margaret Weber and great grandchildren, Raiden and Mason Lester and Kali Weber. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at St. Philip Catholic Church, Rev. Claude Burns officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Pierre Funeral Home, where there will be a memorial service conducted by the church at 4:00 P.M. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:30 A.M. until service time on Thursday at St. Philip Church.
