Robert E. Feldhaus

Robert E. Feldhaus, 84, of Evansville, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at the West River Health Campus. Bob was born September 19, 1932 in Evansville to the late Carl and Irene (Humpert) Feldhaus. He worked at Alcoa for 28 years before retiring in 1992. Bob was a longtime member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War, an avid golfer and member of Twin Towers, VFW Post #1114 and the Alcoa 25 year club. Surviving Bob are three sisters, Carol Epley and Mary (Cliff) Christian, both of Evansville and Janice Wicks of Henderson, KY; six brothers, Marvin (Judy) Feldhaus, Wayne (Rose) Feldhaus, Tom (Marleen) Feldhaus, Alan (Norma) Feldhaus, Larry (Ann) Feldhaus and Dennis (Scarlett) Feldhaus, all of Evansville; three sisters-in-law, Barbara (David) Winstead, Judith (Ted) Whitney and Mary (Hank) Beck; two brothers-in-law, Albert “Pat” Wolf and Michael Wolf; thirty nine nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Martha Ann (Wolf) Feldhaus in 2010; by a sister, Karleen Ziliak in 1989; by a brother, Donald Feldhaus in 2008; by three sisters-in-law, Hilda Wolf, Joann Wolf and Jo Wolf and by a brother-in-law, Thomas Wolf. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Rev. Anthony Govind officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, where the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Friday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a memorial service conducted by the church at 4:00 P.M. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday at St. Boniface Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
