Robert L. Rollett

Robert L. “Bob” Rollett, 86, of Evansville, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Solarbron. Bob was born February 13, 1937 in Evansville to the late Henry B. and Aurelia (Blankenberger) Rollett. Bob was a sheet metal worker and a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 20 for over 40 years. Bob was a longtime member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and most recently, St. Boniface Catholic Church. He served in the United States Army National Guard; enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, his river camp and boating on the Ohio River, snow skiing, hunting, fishing, woodworking, horseback riding and motorcycle riding. In recent years, Bob enjoyed petting his cat Gracie and having her on his lap. Surviving Bob are his wife of 25 years, Mary (Jones) Rollett; two daughters, Diane (Greg) Matt and Patricia (Chris) Will; two sons, Joe (Kim) Rollett and Chris Rollett; a daughter-in-law, Kim (fiance`, Kevin) Rollett; grandchildren, Ryan (Kylie) Matt, Andy Matt, Katelyn (Brandon) Schoettlin, Alex Will, Drew (Briana) Will, Bryan Will, Kyle Rollett, Kristine Rollett, Ashley (Sam) Nunning, Logan (Carlee) Schuetz, Christin (fiancé`, Brent) Rollett, Emma Rollett, Michael Rollett, Madison Rollett, Jessica (Adam) Mayer and Jeffrey (Chelsea) Fentress and eleven great grandchildren. Also surviving Bob are two stepdaughters, Cindy Boutcher and Christine Wedding; step grandchildren, Meagan Shadrick, Bria Boutcher, Carrie Manley, Nathan Beman, Dusty Beman, Alyssa Wedding and Jessica Deckard Mills and four step great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a wife, Deanna Rollett; by his son, David Rollett; by a grandson, Benjamin Rollett and a sister, Ruth Winterman. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 14, 2023 at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a memorial service conducted by the church at 4:00 PM.
