Ronald Boarman

Ronald E. Boarman, age 69, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at his home surrounded by family. Mr. Boarman was born December 20, 1945 in Evansville to the late Norbert and Elizabeth (Greenwell) Boarman. Ron was a caring, generous individual with a passion for cooking, especially bar-b-que and entertaining family and friends. He enjoyed storytelling, fishing, golf and was always was quick with a witty comeback. He had a lengthy career in the garment and textile industries. He worked for over 40 years in manufacturing, production, imports and consulting. He owned facilities in Virginia and North Carolina and would always let you know if you paid too much for your shirt. He was a loving husband and devoted father. Ron took great joy in doting on his grandkids, nieces, nephews and great granddaughter. Surviving Ron are his wife of 48 years, Norma (Schmitt) Boarman; two daughters, Andrea (William) Johnson of Raleigh, NC and Melanie Schwab of Stokesdale, NC; eight sisters, Eleanor Neth and Doris Hansert, both of Evansville, Margaret Boarman of Newburgh, Mildred Parmenter of Brookesville, FL, Mary Jo Kaiser of Evansville, Beverly Olsen of Davenport, IA, Jeanne Kelly of Evansville and Regina Boarman of Dubuque, IA; two brothers, Joseph Boarman of Satsuma, FL and Paul Boarman of Lacrosse, WI; five grandchildren, Mitchal, David and Bryan Johnson, Joey Bailey and Rebecca(Troy) Moore and a great grandchild, Christina. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Victor Boarman. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Resurrection Catholic Church, Rev. Raymond Brenner officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street and from 9:30 until service time on Tuesday at Resurrection Church.
