Ruth Catherine Will

Ruth Catherine Will, 96, of Wadesville, IN passed away at her home on Sunday, September 8, 2024 surrounded by family. Ruth was born on June 9, 1928 in Wadesville, Indiana to the late Jacob and Matilda (Martin) Weis. She grew up on a farm working side by side with her father. Ruth was a homemaker, a devout Catholic and a member of St. Wendel Catholic Church, the Ladies Sodality at St. Wendel and the Knights of St. John Ladies Auxiliary. Ruth married the love of her life, Freeman Will, on September 14, 1949. They were married for 67 years and worked together on their grain and dairy farm. They raised a beautiful family of six children. Ruth and Freeman loved to dance. They made many lifelong friends doing so. They also enjoyed traveling, playing cards, washerboards with family and friends. She also loved to sew. Surviving Ruth are three daughters, Janet (Devon) Kuester, Shirley (Bill) Hall and Mary (James) Lindell; three sons, Charles (Annette) Will, Glen (Deanna) Will and Donald (Amy) Will; a sister, Rosalee (Harold) Neumann; grandchildren, Eric (Dietra) Kuester, Blake (Valerie) Lindell, Holly Will, Heath (Tara) Will, Heather Will, Holt Will, Alexis Will, and Arley Will, several great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Also surviving Ruth are many special nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; her special friend Olivia and many more. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Freeman Will in 2016 and by three brothers, Roman, Clinton and James Weis. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 13, 2024 at St. Wendel Catholic Church, Rev. Ed Schnur officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Wendel Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street and from 9:30 AM until service time on Friday at St. Wendel Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Wendel Catholic Church, 10542 W.
