Sharon A Kaiser

Sharon Ann (Slaton) Kaiser, age 74, of Evansville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Sharon was born February 1, 1942 in Evansville to the late Joel D. and Norma (Bockelman) Slaton. She was a 1960 graduate of Reitz High School and was an active member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, where she received the Brute Award given by the Diocese of Evansville. She enjoyed flower gardening, traveling, trips to the beach, and exploring Goodwill stores across the country. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Daniel Kaiser; her two favorite daughters, Amy (Phil) Graham of St. Louis, MO and Jill (TJ) Wilson of Clarksville, TN; three of her favorite sons, Gregory Kaiser of Evansville, Michael Kaiser of Nashville, TN and James (Elaine) Kaiser of Nicholasville, KY; two sisters, Bonnie (Jerry) Scheller and Sandra Parker and a brother, Joel Slaton, all of Evansville. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Sam Kaiser, Leslie (Ronnie) Kempf, Matthew Graham, Jenna Graham and Caleb Murrell and three great grandchildren, Cooper, Lucy and Oliver Kempf. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her other favorite son, Timothy Kaiser in 2006, grandbabies Mia Rose and Sydney Kay, and another sweet angel. Sharon was blessed to enjoy an amazing circle of friends throughout her life. Her family would like to extend a special thank you to Louise, Denise, Debbie, Cookie and Wilma who were loving caregivers to Sharon in recent years. To the sweet ladies from MSA Hospice – LaCosta, Amanda, Shamia, Crystal, and Connie – thank you for making Sweetbaby’s journey a peaceful blessing for her, her family, and her friends. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Rev. David Nunning officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Sunday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a memorial service conducted by the church at 4:00 P.M. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:30 A.M. until service time on Monday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
