Virginia A. Juncker

Virginia A. (Hall) Juncker, born on September 28, 1939, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at Deaconess Hospital Midtown Campus, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories. She was a resident of Mount Vernon, Indiana, where she lived on Mertens Road, shared with her late husband, Rawlin S. Juncker, after they “moved to the country.” Virginia was a devoted member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, where she found a deep sense of community and faith. Her life was full of simple joys and hobbies that brought her happiness including traveling, bus trips, water walking, and cherished girls’ lunches with her close friends. She was an avid fan of Hallmark movies and soap operas; her collection of Precious Moments figurines and elephants were well known to those close to her. Her professional life was spent at Old National Bank, where she served as a teller and commercial loan originator. Her colleagues remember her as a dedicated and compassionate worker. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Roy F. Hall and Marie Hall (Gardner); her beloved husband, Rawlin S. Juncker; her sister, Betty Cummings; and her niece, Carol Cummings. She is survived by her loving family, including her brothers, Roy Hall Jr. and Gary Hall; her sons, Dennis (Debbie) Juncker and Jim (Shana) Juncker; her grandchildren, Adam (Lauren) Juncker, Stephanie Juncker, Alyssa (Austin) Dahl, and Emily, Daniel, and Faith Juncker. Virginia also leaves behind great-grandchildren Asa, Enoch, and Esme Juncker, Rhyson Eunice, Dean Knigga, and Huxley Kron, and Shepherd Dahl, who will carry her memory in their hearts. Virginia’s life was a testament to the values of hard-work, honesty, and courage. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Funeral services for Virginia will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 13, 2024 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Pastor Dennis Wathen officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Paul’s Church Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held at Pierre Funeral Home, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember a woman who meant so much to so many. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday and from 9:00 AM until service time on Friday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
