Carol L. Pigman

January 7, 1968 - May 28, 2022

Carol L. Pigman, 54, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Transcendent South Health Care, in Boonville, IN. She was born in Evansville on January 7, 1968 to the late William and Marian Pigman. Carol attended Mater Dei High School and received both her BS and MS degree from USI. She was an English teacher for over 25 years at Marian Heights Academy, Evansville North High School, and most recently at Lakin High School in Kansas. Carol was actively involved in coaching speech and debate at the elementary level and had been the speech coach at both Mater Dei and North High School. In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her brother, Rick Pigman and nephew, Kyle Abshier. She is survived by sisters, Kathy (Dan) Abshier of Bloomington, IN and Beth (Mike) Barchet of Evansville; brothers, Bob (Debbie) Pigman of Evansville and Bill (Mary) Pigman of St. Wendel, IN. Also surviving are sixteen nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and great nephews and close friend Robb Hendry. Funeral services for Carol will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 3, 2022 at St. Wendel Catholic Church with burial in the Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 AM Friday at the church until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderburgh Humane Society or to St. Wendel Catholic Church.
