Catherine G. Drone

Catherine G. Drone, "GiGi", 102, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at West River Health Campus. Catherine was a homemaker, an avid reader of mystery novels, and a wonderful seamstress. She was blessed with a witty sense of humor that endeared her to her family and all who heard her stories. Catherine gave of herself completely to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was faithful to God and was rarely seen without a rosary, worn as a necklace or held in her hand. Catherine will be dearly missed and remembered with love, "always & forever." Surviving Catherine are daughters Barbara (Carl), Susan (Chris), and JoAnn (David); one son, Daniel; grandchildren, Cristen, Chad, Daniel (Nichole), Andrew (Lauren), Jamie (Ryan), Ashly (John), and Ben (Madison) and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Dorothy and brother-in-law, James. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Barbara; by her husband Wilfred Drone in 1984; by a sister Mary and brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Janet. Many thanks to her dear friend and caregiver, Carmen. Funeral services for Catherine will be private. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
