Charles R. “Ronnie” Johann, 75, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Deaconess Hospital Midtown Campus. Ronnie was born March 10, 1946 in Evansville to the late Charles G. and Lola Mae (Owens) Johann. He was a 1964 graduate of FJ Reitz High School and retired from Alcoa after 30 years of service. Ronnie loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Surviving Ronnie are three daughters, Janet (Donnie) Rhoads, Lucy (Justen) Noyes and Tammy (Kevin) Duran; one son, Johnny (Shannon) Johann; a sister, Debbie (Carroll) Hickrod and brother, Steven Johann. Also surviving Ronnie are eleven grandchildren, Michael (Jerra), Melinda (Jason), Matthew (Erin), Jonathan (Haley), Kody (Ashlee), Austen, Andrew, Ayden (Jackie), Anthony (Molly), Taylor (Jordan) and Tanner and four great grandchildren, Brayden, Brylan, Berkley, Kamryn. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Terry Gamblin officiating. Private burial will take place at a later date at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 until 3:00 PM on Sunday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street. The family requests that everyone attending please wear a face mask because of Covid concerns.
