David G. Clausheide
November 22, 1943 - June 12, 2022
David was born in Evansville, IN, on November 22nd, 1943, and graduated from Reitz High School in 1961. He was an exceptional bowler and competed in many local leagues. He grew up on the west side of Evansville, and was a current member of the Riverbend Association. His professional career included many years in the tool and die industry, in which he found a way to display his love of art. David was an extremely talented artist, creating pieces of work that ranged from realistic to those without any boundaries. He was consistently developing new techniques to use, and worked with all different types of mediums. His art was unique, and his skill unmatched. His artistic ability included drawing, painting, sculpting, hand carvings, metal casting and cutting, and lathe woodworking. He could make something artistic out of the most basic materials. As true artists understand, he could “see” the art waiting to be uncovered. He passed away at home, and at age 78, was still active and independent. He had an excellent grasp of spatial understanding, having mastered geometry, trigonometry, and calculus, which all contributed towards aspects of his artworks. As an avid reader and fan of old movies, he was especially fond of science fiction He was a loving father and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his son Kevin Clausheide and daughter-in-law Dr. Lancesa Clausheide. There will be no public visitation or funeral services held. Pierre Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. David had many pets throughout his lifetime, and he always helped animals and wildlife he encountered.
