Geneva Elizabeth Scheller Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Geneva “Jenny” Elizabeth Scheller, 89, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at home surrounded by her family. Jenny was born July 19, 1931 in Bardwell, KY to the late Joseph Bernard and Alma E. (Willett) Hayden. She operated a child day care service in her home for many, many years. Jenny always looked forward to the family’s camping trips to Lincoln State Park and in later years the long road trips to Florida, Colorado and Utah with her husband Joe to visit family and friends. She and Joe were longtime members of St. Boniface Catholic Church. Surviving Geneva are four daughters, Debbie Scheller of Sun City West, AZ, Lois (Tom) Peake, Donna (Jim) Ramsbey, both of Evansville and Lisa Moore of Panama City Beach, FL; four sons, Bill Scheller of Youngstown, FL, Tim Scheller and Tom Scheller of Evansville and Gary Scheller of Ogden, UT; a daughter-in-law, Terri Scheller of Evansville; brothers, Jim and Edmund Hayden; grandchildren, Philip and Daniel Mertel, Paul Bultitude, Corey and Cameron Peake, Cassie (Peake) Cowan, Joe and Carl Ramsbey, Tracey Ellis, Genna Kempf, Bradley, Jacob and Stuart Moore, Dana Evanovich, Jerry Scheller, Erik Etress, Tracy Yancey, Shanna Ray, Nathan, Jason and Dustin Scheller, Karen Shields, Katie McGaughey, Kendra Hatfield, Brandon and Tim Miller, Mallory Schneider, Kristen Mulvaney, Christian Scheller and Brendon Ehmann; fifty two great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Joseph Scheller in 2001; by a son, Kenny Scheller in 2010; sisters, Betty Lawson and Norma Hall and by two brothers, Charles Lindle and Gene Hayden. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Rev. Theodore Tempel officiating. Entombment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 AM until service time on Tuesday at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Those who attend will be required to wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church, 418 N. Wabash Ave, Evansville, IN 47712.
