Imelda Severina Woodward

February 12, 1932 - February 6, 2022

Imelda Severina Woodward, 89, of Evansville, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, February 6, 2022 surrounded by family. Imelda was born February 12, 1932 in Poseyville, IN to the late Anthony and Severina (Brune) Martin. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vanderburgh County. Surviving Imelda are a daughter, Joanna (William) Morphew; four sons, Bruce (Terri) Woodward, Brian Woodward, Martin (Carolyn) Woodward and John Woodward; one sister, Hilda Schaefer and grandchildren, David Matthew Tyring, Dennis Tyring, Amanda Manning, Erin Guess, Bill Morphew, Robert Morphew, Joshua Woodward and Christina Woodward. In addition to her parents, Imelda was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Robert J. Woodward in 2020; by a daughter, Susan Tyring; by sons, Leonard and Robert R. Woodward; sisters, Marianna Elpers and Wilma Voelker and brothers, Tony and Francis Martin. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February, 9, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vanderburgh County, Rev. Eugene Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Church Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6202 W. St. Joseph Road, Evansville, IN 47720. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church Vanderburgh County.
