Jerome M. Tieken, 77, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital, with his loving wife by his side. Jerry was born December 20, 1944 in Evansville to the late John P. and Marion (Spahn) Tieken. He worked as a conductor for Southern Railway for many years and later as a truck driver for Republic Resources and Midwest Concrete. Jerry was an active member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and was a Fourth-Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed boating and camping. Jerry is survived by his wife, Sandra (Richardville) Tieken; a daughter, Lori (Stan) Lindauer; three sons, Ronald Tieken, Thomas (Paula) Tieken, Brian Tieken; sisters, Barbara (Charles) Lindenschmidt, Debbie (Kent) Schaefer; four brothers, Kenneth (Kim) Tieken, Fred (Glenda) Tieken, John Tieken, William (Pam) Tieken; two grandchildren, Nathan and Logan Lindauer; two step grandchildren, John and Crystal and one step great granddaughter, Abby Sauter. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by an infant brother, Anthony Tieken. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 11, 2022 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Rev. Jason Gries officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 until 6:00 PM on Sunday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a memorial service at 5:30 PM. Friends may also visit with the family from 10:30 AM until service time on Monday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 918 W. Mill Rd. Evansville, Indiana 47710.
