Joan C. Sills

Joan C. Sills, 50, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2020 at her residence. Joan was born on September 28, 1969 in Evansville to Kenneth and Joann Weigand Sills. She had been employed at A.R.C. Industries and was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and SPRED for many years. She was involved in the Special Olympic; loved playing basketball, roller skating, riding her bike, playing ball and her jewelry. She also enjoyed getting her nails done and opening her Christmas gifts. No meal was as delicious to Joan as a spaghetti dinner with cottage cheese. She is survived by her mother, Joann Weigand Sills and three brothers, Kevin J. (Robin) Sills, Daniel R (Cheryl Bergeron), Sills and Thomas J. (Heather) Sills. Joan was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Sills in 2011 and a brother, Steve Sills in 2008. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Rev. Lowell Will officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until service time at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Per CDC guidelines and the governor of the state of Indiana, social distancing and masks must be worn at all times during the service. Pierre Funeral Home in assisting the family with arrangements.
