John Robert Hauschild Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

John R. Hauschild, Sr., 81, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. John was born February 11, 1940 in Evansville to the late Carl David and Eldena (Robinson) Hauschild. He attended Centennial Elementary School and Reitz High School. John retired from the Evansville City Fire Department after 31 years of service and also worked in construction. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Charlotte (Pfettscher) Hauschild; four daughters, Julie (Greg) Richardson, Jean (Scott) Senecal, Joan Ellen Brandle and Janet (Gary) Schapker; a son, John Robert Hauschild, Jr.; sixteen grandchildren, Derek, Lauren, Christina, Katie, Ted, Brad, Adam, Johnny, Tim, Annie, Dana, Sara, Kara, Lara, Amanda and Jacob; twelve great grandchildren and two nephews, Danny and David Hauschild. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Marie Hauschild in 1960; by a brother, Carl David Hauschild, Jr. and a great grandchild, Ariah. Funeral services for John will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Pierre Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hauschild Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 PM until service time on Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
