September 22, 1955 - August 24, 2020
Joseph F. Lintzenich, 64, of Evansville, passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at Deaconess Hospital Gateway Campus. Joe was born September 22, 1955 and led a joy filled life. His dad, Henry Lintzenich, died when Joe was just three years old, yet Joe would always say “Pops taught me that”. That left his mother, Dorothy to raise him along with his five siblings. His sister, Martha Lamkin and brother, Michael Lintzenich preceded him in death, but he loved being with his sister, Kathleen (David) Halbig, brothers, Stephen and David (Debbie) and brother-in-law, Ron Lamkin who cherished his cheerful spirit. Joe loved his nieces, Susan Lamkin, Dava Jo (Jason) McKinsey and Margaret Halbig; nephews, Don (Melanie) Lamkin, Daniel (Stacey) Lintzenich, Michael (Andrea) Halbig, Joe (Lauren) Halbig and Matt Halbig; great nieces, Gracie McKinsey, Kate Halbig and Cassidy Lamkin and great nephews, Devin, Connor and Garrett Lintzenich, Warren, Oliver, Henry, Vincent and Marshall Halbig. Joe was a lot of fun in his youth. He played football and baseball for Mater Dei High School. He loved his friends who introduced him to a good life like Tom Head, Sam Schmitt and Jim Farny. Joe loved his work as a salesman in the welding industry meeting great friends RC, Casey, Linda and Kim. He looked forward to vacationing in Avalon, New Jersey, going to the Masters, fishing trips and race car events. He loved watching sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues and Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed trips to the casino and listening to rock and roll music. You give him a song and he knew all of the lyrics. One of Joe’s highlights was his Sunday routine; breakfast with his brothers at Dave’s house, then dinner with Dave, Debbie, Dava, Jason and Gracie. Debbie’s brother, Tom used to come before he moved to Florida and the two of them loved to tease one another. Joe was a faithful member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 418 N. Wabash Ave, Rev. John Brosmer officiating. Entombment will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 AM until service time on Saturday at St. Boniface Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Boniface Parish, C/O St. Agnes Church, 1600 Glendale Ave, Evansville, IN 47712. Condolences may be made online at www.pierrefuneralhome.com.
