Maudie M. Thomas, 75, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Deaconess Hospital Gateway Campus. Maudie was born May 24, 1945 in Newburgh, IN to the late Morris and Earthy (King) Moore. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving Maudie are a daughter, Sandra Gilchrist; four sons, Jeff, Mark, Brian and Jimmy Thomas; three sisters, Barbara Wydicks, Martha Bilyeu and Agnes “Shuggy” Gray; twelve grandchildren, Rose, Heather, Dalles, McKenna, Sav, Paytyn, Tyler, Skyler, Justin, Dustin, Anna and Lena and many great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Maudie was preceded in death by her husband John F. Thomas in 2001; by a son, Johnny Thomas, Jr. and brother, James Moore. Due to the pandemic, visitation and funeral services for Maudie will be private. Burial will take place in Oak Hill Cemetery. Condolences may be made online at www.pierrefuneralhome.com.
