Milo G. McKain

July 26, 1948 - May 31, 2022

Milo McKain of Evansville, loved home and went home peacefully on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 after a long battle with a chronic illness. He had his wife, family and caregivers by his side. Milo was born July 26, 1948 in Evansville. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette McKain; father, Gordon McKain and brother, Mark McKain. Milo retired from CSX Railroad where he worked as a conductor for 33 years. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, listening to The Beatles and The Moody Blues. He grew to love watching classic television. More important to him than anything was his love for his wife, Nancy and his beloved daughter, Liz. Milo had a great sense of humor and was full of wit. Surviving Milo are his wife of 48 years, Nancy; daughter, Liz Reis; two sisters, Joan (Bruce) Fraser and Jan (Pat) Paul; sister-in-law, Kate McKain; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street. The family would like to extend a special thank you to OMNI Hospice; especially his nurse, Derek Gross for all of their kind assistance through their difficult times.
