Sharon G. Lang Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sharon G. (Brugger) Lang, 58, of Evansville, passed away May 25, 2022 surrounded by her family. Sharon was born June 16, 1963 in Evansville, IN to the late Victor and Marcella Brugger. She graduated from Mater Dei High School in 1981 and later retired from Wabash Plastics after 32 years of service. Sharon is survived by the love of her life and husband of 40 years, Ken D. Lang; two children, Tony (Beckie) Lang, Amy (Trent) Friday; grandchildren Madalynn Acker, Brianna (Cameron) Utterback, Dylan McGarrh, Alyssa and Isaac Lang, and William Friday; brothers, Paul (Alice) Brugger, John Brugger, David (Cynthia) Brugger, and Mark Brugger and sisters, Mary Lefler, Carol Thomas, Rose (David) Dillingham, Rita Reed, Agnes (Allen) Gentry, and Kathy Eaton. In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Lang and sister, Alice Wirth. Sharon lived her life for her kids and grandchildren planning annual family vacations, weekend camping trips and Sunday dinners. She loved feeding the animals from her back yard with most recently enjoying the hawk that would visit on the back deck. In her free time, Sharon enjoyed painting and making homemade gifts for her family. She has filled our hearts with lasting memories and will be greatly missed! The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Linda E. White Hospice Center, Deaconess Gateway, Dr. Kodali and her staff for never giving up on her, and all the staff at the Deaconess Infusion Center. Friends and family may visit with the family from 2:00 until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin St. Private burial will be held at Tupman Cemetery. Sharon specifically requested that you not wear black to her funeral, visit in your brightest colors.
