William M. Kisner Sr.

William M. Kisner, Sr., 80, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at his home surrounded by family. Bill was born December 4, 1940 in Vincennes, IN to the late Harvey and Martha (Gregerson) Kisner. He worked as a custodian for many years at Resurrection Catholic Church. Bill was very active in several local Boy Scout troops, serving as Scout Master at St. Agnes. He was also a Master Gardener and in 2015 was named the King of Indiana by TOPS Club International for his weight loss accomplishment. Bill loved to tell jokes and for many years he played Santa Claus for area families. Surviving Bill are his wife of 46 years, Delcia Lee (Whiting) Kisner; a daughter, Mary (Thomas) Green; sons, William M. (Candy Straight) Kisner, Jr., Kevin Kisner, Mike (Vicki Gilliland Kelton) Sullivan and James Frank “Jimmy” Sullivan, Sr.; twenty grandchildren and many many great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Richardt; sister, Ilene Reeder and by an infant brother, Harvey Kisner, Jr. Funeral services for Bill will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Lowell Will officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
