La Donna Boyle

La Donna R. Pegram Boyle, 77, of Princeton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at her home. La Donna was born on August 16, 1947, in Owensville, Indiana to the late Warren, M and Ruth (Calvert) Pegram. La Donna was affectionately known as Donna to her family and friends. She was fifth youngest in the Pegram family. Donna was meticulous about cleaning and making sure everything was tidy and in its place. Donna grew up working hard on her family’s melon farm. Donna was an excellent cook and homemaker; passionate about exercising and eating healthy. Donna devoted her time to cleaning, baking, working outside, rescuing dogs that were in need of care, and spending time with family. The greatest joy in her life was raising her son Brent. She loved being a mother. Donna was compassionate, strong willed, feisty, and very opinionated. She was a strong animal advocate and devoted countless hours making sure dogs in this area were given adequate care. She encouraged people to treat their pets with kindness and dropped off countless bags of dogfood and water to any dog she saw in need. This inspired her to Author Trevor’s Biscuit, which educated younger children the responsibilities of proper pet care. She possessed a truly generous spirit that touched the lives of many. She often demonstrated this ability by quietly giving to numerous charities ensuring both animals and children would receive care giving them a brighter future. Donna would tell everybody her greatest achievement was her son Brent. She cherished him and was very proud when he became a father to Trever and Taylee. Donna was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She leaves us with a memory of a woman who gave of her mind but also from her heart. Every time we eat a piece of her favorite white cake with buttercream frosting, we will smile and think of her. She will forever live on in all who knew her. She will be greatly missed. She reminded me several times to hold onto to the people I love dearly, to love the Lord, and to appreciate my life every day. Surviving La Donna are two sisters, Jenny Emge and Nora Lee Elliott; two brothers, Jerry (Diane)Pegram and Paul (Janice) Pegram, daughter in law, Angie Boyle and grandchildren, Trevor (Addison) Boyle and Taylee Boyle. In addition to her parents, LaDonna was preceded in death by her husband Carl Warren “C.W.” Boyle in 2013; by her son Brent Boyle; grandfather, Luther Pegram, sister, Beverly Henson and two brothers-in-law, Mac Emge and Bob Elliott. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to their support, patience, and care during a very difficult time.
