Linda Diane Rollett

Linda Diane (Weil) Rollett, age 79, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, in her hometown. Born on September 6, 1946, in Evansville to the late Larry and Valeda Weil, Linda lived a life filled with love, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to her family and faith. Linda dedicated 37 years of her professional life to Mead Johnson and later Bristol Myers Squibb, where she last worked as a senior lab technician until her retirement in 2007. Her career reflected her meticulous nature and strong work ethic, qualities that were evident in every aspect of her life. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Linda is survived by her loving husband of nearly 60 years, John Rollett; her three children: Michelle Choate (Jeff), Scott Rollett (Lee Anne), and Heather Normand (Chris); and her cherished grandchildren: Andrew Choate, Hannah Rollett, Emily Sayer (Nick), Jacob Rollett (Paige), Matthew Normand, and Luke Normand. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren: Amelia Rollett and soon-to-arrive baby Sayer. Linda’s brothers—Donald Weil (Denise), Kevin Weil (Cindy), and Chris Weil (Kim), her sister at heart, Pauline Marsh, and her sisters-in-law, Ann Schneider and Margie Orman—along with numerous nieces and nephews also hold her memory close to their hearts. She cherished her lunches and parties with her high school friends and remained especially close to Patty Scheu, and the Miller triplets, Jenny, Joy, and Jan, and many dear friends. Linda’s life was enriched by her many passions. She was an accomplished quilter and crocheter whose creations brought warmth and joy to those fortunate enough to receive them. Her green thumb was evident in the vibrant gardens she lovingly tended. A lifelong learner with a deep interest in genealogy research, Linda took pride in uncovering the stories of her ancestors. She also enjoyed traveling to unfamiliar places and treasured the memories made during vacations to places such as Hawaii, Alaska, and trips out west. She especially enjoyed extended family vacations to Kentucky Lake, Arkansas, and New Smyrna Beach, Florida to name a few. Whether attending exercise classes or spoiling her grandchildren with love and attention, Linda approached every activity with enthusiasm. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Linda prayed the rosary daily and attended mass regularly as a devoted member of the Catholic Church. Known as a prayer warrior by those who knew her well, she found strength in her spirituality and shared that strength with others through compassion and kindness. Linda’s warm personality left an indelible mark on everyone she met—she truly knew no stranger. Her caring nature extended beyond words into actions that demonstrated how deeply she valued relationships. More than anything else, Linda’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family. Her love for them was boundless; they were the center of her world. In addition to her parents, Larry and Valeda Weil, Linda was preceded in death by other loved ones who undoubtedly welcomed her into eternal rest. Linda’s legacy is one of love, faith, creativity, and generosity—a life well-lived that will continue to inspire those who knew her. May the memories of Linda bring comfort to all who mourn this profound loss. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at St. Philip Catholic Church. Friends may visit the family from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a memorial service held at 4:00 PM. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 AM until service on Saturday at St. Philip Catholic Church. Entombment will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Marian Educational Outreach, 520 S. Benninghof Avenue, Evansville, IN, 47714, or to Vanderburgh County CASA, 600 SE 6th Street, Evansville, IN, 47713. The family would like to thank all of the nurses and staff at West River Legacy Unit who lovingly cared for her and gave meaning to her last years. We also want to thank the wonderful staff of St. Croix Hospice for their amazing compassion and care.
