Michael Ray Glaser

Michael Ray Glaser, 78, of rural Evansville, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Deaconess Hospital Gateway Campus. Mike was born on June 6, 1947, in Evansville to the late Charles X. and Eloise C. (Thompson) Glaser. Mike was a 1965 graduate of Mater Dei High School; a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Bristol Myers Squibb after 33 years of service. Mike was a member of the Knights of Columbus and served as Grand Knight for two years and was in charge of the Knights of Columbus Bingo for the last five years. He was also a dedicated member of St. Philip Catholic Church; a member of the Eagles, Riverbend Association and Twin Towers. Mike was very generous of his time. He put others before himself and devoted time to his family and community. Mike loved fishing and boating; he was an avid sports fan; especially of the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Dodgers. He enjoyed coaching his daughters and grandchildren in their various sports activities. He always enjoyed gathering with his family and friends`. Mike is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gloria Jean (Dorsey) Glaser; three daughters and their husbands, Miranda and Dan Schaefer, Natalie and Lee Allison and Missy and Nick Beach; sisters, Cassandra Kellner and Beatrice Glaser; six brothers, Marty Glaser, Stephen Glaser, Bruce (Peggy) Glaser, Brent Glaser, Eric (Tammy) Glaser and David (Marilyn) Glaser; grandchildren, Caleb Beach, Ryder Allison, Luke Allison, Braxton Beach, Elleeot Allison, Gracee Allison and Brayden Beach; sister-in-law, Lori Glaser, many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph and Adrian Glaser; a brother-in-law, Rich Kellner and sister-in-law, Dorothy Glaser. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at St. Philip Catholic Church, Rev. Ryan Hilderbrand officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Philip Church Cemetery, where the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street and from 9:30 AM until service time on Tuesday at St. Philip Catholic Church, 3500 St. Philip Road S.
